Throughout the month of November, Raconteur (the restaurant located inside of Third Place Books Seward Park) will be featuring PNW Veg on their menu. Each time a customer orders one of these items, they will receive a 20% discount on the book. The month-long promotion will culminate in a talk and signing.

The King County Library Foundation's annual fundraiser, in its 25th year, is the library event of the year. More than 700 community members join together to raise funds for programs and services at the King County Library System.

The evening features 16 Northwest authors honored for their contributions, including a keynote address from sports legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.  Ticket details here.

Hot Stove Society, chef Tom Douglas's cooking school,  is hosting Kim for this demo class. Annual festival at Oregon’s oldest bookstore in the Hood River area. The store will be a buzz with thirteen visiting authors, each with a new title to celebrate. Gathered at Klindt’s Books on this one day, authors will be located throughout the store where readers will have a chance to visit with them, have books personally signed, discuss their writing process, and answer any questions.

Vegetarian Feast in Richmond, Va

PNW Veg does the RVA! My pals at Fountain Bookstore and Camden's Dogtown Market are hosting me for a dinner and talk. The menu, featuring many dishes from the book:

  • White Wheat Focaccia on the tables
  • Smoky Carrot and Sweet Potato Soup (paired with a higher acid, mildly oaked Chardonnay)
  • Chicken Fried Tofu with Roasted Nightshade Salad And Barbecue Braised Collards and Chickpeas (from local tofu house, Twin Oaks)(paired with Barnard Griffin, WA Rose of Sangiovese)
  • Parsnip-Apple Cake (with black twig apples from Chef Andy's tree!) (paired with War & Rust Quinquina...local spicy aperitif that actually goes great with coffee)

$20 for all three courses! Optional $15 beverage pairing. Additional beverages, taxes, tips not included.  Reserve your spot!
