Vegetarian Feast in Richmond, Va

PNW Veg does the RVA! My pals at Fountain Bookstore and Camden's Dogtown Market are hosting me for a dinner and talk. The menu, featuring many dishes from the book:

  • White Wheat Focaccia on the tables
  • Smoky Carrot and Sweet Potato Soup (paired with a higher acid, mildly oaked Chardonnay)
  • Chicken Fried Tofu with Roasted Nightshade Salad And Barbecue Braised Collards and Chickpeas (from local tofu house, Twin Oaks)(paired with Barnard Griffin, WA Rose of Sangiovese)
  • Parsnip-Apple Cake (with black twig apples from Chef Andy's tree!) (paired with War & Rust Quinquina...local spicy aperitif that actually goes great with coffee)

$20 for all three courses! Optional $15 beverage pairing. Additional beverages, taxes, tips not included.  Reserve your spot!

We're cooking from PNW Veg! PCC Natural Markets is the host at four stores in the Puget Sound throughout the month of June.  On the menu: 

  • Rhubarb Salsa with Lentil Nachos
  • Radish Salad with Cherry Tomatoes, Fresh Herbs and Hand-mixed Za’atar Spices
  • Better-than-any-restaurant Black Bean and Beet Burgers
  • Cherry-Chocolate Fro-yo
