In this hands-on class at Whisk in Bellevue, we will be playing with silken tofu and its endless uses for dips & puddings. Then we will get to know the best ways of handling Extra Firm Tofu and its basics, including proper ways to drain and cut. Adelina's in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, will host guest chef Kim O'Donnel and natural wine maker Dan Schaaf pairing three of Kim's dishes from PNW Veg with three new vintage wines from Deux Punx. Archestratus Books & Foods will be joining us with copies of PNW Veg for purchase and Kim will be available for book signing. Reservations recommended.
The King County Library Foundation's annual fundraiser, in its 25th year, is the library event of the year. More than 700 community members join together to raise funds for programs and services at the King County Library System.
The evening features 16 Northwest authors honored for their contributions, including a keynote address from sports legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Ticket details here.

Annual festival at Oregon’s oldest bookstore in the Hood River area. The store will be a buzz with thirteen visiting authors, each with a new title to celebrate. Gathered at Klindt’s Books on this one day, authors will be located throughout the store where readers will have a chance to visit with them, have books personally signed, discuss their writing process, and answer any questions.
